"...open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest." John 4:35 (*NIV)
We believe that involvement in World Missions is not just for a few odd people, but is instead a way for a great many of us to honor God with our lives and riches. Sending people onto the field (an essential part of world missions) requires the involvement of many people back home.

Teaching |
From pre-schoolers to adults, we want our fellowship to be learning about world missions. You can become involved as one of these teachers, or as part of the Education Task Force that seeks out excellent materials. |
Learning |
Want to go deeper? Each year, usually in the Fall, PCC will organize a high quality class for adults and high school students who want to better understand God's Mission. Those who study with us will never be the same! Once a year we have a Missions Month, where the whole church focuses for a month on one aspect of Missions. Each of these events is geared to helping us become World Christians who delight in what God is doing around the world. |
Caring |
PCC is sending out a growing number of missionaries, whom we call our Primary Missionaries. We want to continue to help them both while they are on the field and when they are back on furlough. To that end, we have a Care and Feeding task force to look after these friends. Want to help with staying in touch or sending care packages? The more the merrier! You will be blessed as you get to know these people. Each Primary Missionary has a Missions Advocate who helps to keep us in touch with that missionary family, and helps to prepare a missions moment for one weekend a year. |
Praying |
World Missions means invading hostile territory, and we don't want to send our laborers without the protection and support of prayer. You can become involved in a significant way just by responding to the next call for prayer you read about! |
Communicating |
Prayer is most effective when the needs are known, and there are a number of ways we try to get the word out. The Missions Wall is the most visible vehicle, but there are others, including writing Poster articles, or serving as Missions Representatives in a Home Group, and also these web pages. |
Engaging |
PCC has adopted one unreached people group, and is currently seeking God's will for a second front to engage the enemy. For each of these target areas there is a task force which works on all aspects of reaching that group of people: strategy, prayer, communicating, organizing trips. |
Going |
Well, okay, "going" isn't exactly a local involvement. However Short Term Missions Trips are a great way to increase your passion for God without changing jobs and going long term. Each outbound team can also use the support of a number of volunteers to help with logistics. |
Giving |
For each one who goes, dozens are needed to support them on their way. Plan for your retirement; invest in eternity. |
